Two years ago (2011), on her 80th birthday I asked my mother to take up a new assignment. I asked her to translate a classic in Tamil. With sheer persistence, she completed translating Jules Verne's "Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea" in Tamil, which runs into 750 pages of fulls-cape size. Now I need get them typed and arrange to get it published.
