0 commentsTwo years ago (2011), on her 80th birthday I asked my mother to take up a new assignment. I asked her to translate a classic in Tamil. With sheer persistence, she completed translating Jules Verne's "Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea" in Tamil, which runs into 750 pages of fulls-cape size. Now I need get them typed and arrange to get it published.

Winner of music quiz
0 commentsYesterday (Dec 26 2013) for the Carnatic Music Quiz organized by Kutcheri Buzz, 37 teams participated in the prelims and 6 teams got qualified for the finals. We too (Jayanthi Sundar and myself) are one of the finalists. Interestingly my mother who came there just for watching the program, made a team on the spot. In the exciting finals, my mother's team won the 3rd prize! Our team? Don't ask!
